Mumbles spoilt Haverfordwests hopes of a good start in the new division with a close 7-11 win at the bridge. Haverfordwest played well in the first half in the windy conditions only conceding one penalty and being unlucky not to score themselves.
Mumbles doubled their lead at the begining of the second half with another penalty folllowed by a try for the visitors.
More sustained pressure by the blues was rewarded by a try for substitute centre Liam Manwaring which was converted by Mikey Jones. But unfortunately the Blues were unable to gain a second try and had to settle for a bonus point in the first game of the season.
Unlucky Blues - bring on Pontardulais.
